The Department of Physics, Assumption College, in collaboration with the Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC), organized the Erudite Scholar-in-Residence Programme on December 16th, 17th, and 18th. Dr. Abu Sebastian, Distinguished Scientist and Manager at IBM Research – Zurich was the Erudite Scholar. On December 17th, Dr. Abu Sebastian conducted an academic seminar on AI and neural networks. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Alex James, Dean of IIITMK and Professor at Digital University Kerala, who also participated in a panel discussion with Dr. Sebastian on industrial research and research as a career path. The three-day programme, held across Maker Village Kochi, Assumption College, and Digital University Kerala, focused on academic growth, research, and startup development.
