SEMINAR ON BIODIVERSITY AND CONSERVATION

The Biodiversity Club of the College in collaboration with the Department of Zoology and nature Club organized a seminar on the topic "Biodiversity and Conservation" on November 7, 2024 at Powathil Hall. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Sneha Thomas, Higher Secondary School Teacher at St. Peters Higher Secondary School, Kurumpanadom. Miss Sneha delivered an insightful presentation, emphasizing the alarming rate of biodiversity loss due to habitat destruction, climate change, pollution, and overexploitation. She elaborated on sustainable practices, community-driven conservation strategies, and the role of education in preserving biodiversity. Her talk also included inspiring case studies of successful conservation initiatives, motivating students and participants to contribute towards environmental sustainability. The event was a resounding success, with 61 attendees, including students, faculty, and invited guests.
