Visit to Kottayam District Science Conference at Galileo Science Centre

On November 28, 2024, students from the Department of Physics attended the Kottayam District Science Conference organized by the Breakthrough Science Society at Galileo Science Centre, Vayaskara, Kottayam. During the event, they explored interesting physical phenomena through experiments related to Mechanics and Optics. They also had the opportunity to learn about telescope making and visited an astronomical observatory. Additionally, the students attended a special talk by Ninan Sajeeth Philip, Visiting Professor at the Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics and retired Associate Professor at St. Thomas College, Kozhencheri. The talk, titled "Human Beings Are Not an Exceptional Phenomenon: What AI Teaches Us", provided valuable insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in understanding human existence and its broader implications.
