The Department of Home Science organized a welcome programme named "Rookie Rendezvous" for the new batch of first year UG Home Science students. The programme included a series of ice-breaking sessions like music and activity tasks. The event was designed to help the freshers acclimate to their new environment and interactive sessions. Each fresher had the opportunity to introduce themselves to their peers and faculty members. This session allowed students to share their backgrounds, interests, and aspirations, helping to build a sense of community and belonging within the department.
The Head of the Department Sr. Elizabeth Joseph, delivered an inspiring message, welcoming the new students and encouraging them to make the most of their time at the institution. The speech highlighted the importance of academic excellence, personal growth, and community involvement. The title of Best Fresher was awarded to Muhammed Afif, who stood out for his active participation, enthusiasm, and exemplary conduct throughout the event.
