Dr. Sr. Suma Rose Endowment Lecture Series

The PG Department of History and Research Centre, Assumption College Autonomous organised the Dr. Sr. Suma Rose Endowment Lecture Series on 26 June 2024 at 12:30 PM via Google Platform. Dr. Sivadasan P, Professor, Calicut University, delivered the lecture on the topic "Annie Besant and Keralam." The event saw active participation from research scholars, postgraduate students, and final-year undergraduates. Dr. Sivadasan P provided a comprehensive analysis of Annie Besant's contributions and her influence on the socio-political landscape of Kerala. The lecture highlighted Besant's role in the Indian independence movement and her efforts in promoting education and social reform in Kerala. The session was highly interactive, with participants engaging in a lively discussion following the lecture.
