A Skill Development Programme on ‘Research Methodology: Theory& Techniques’ was organised by the Department of Economics in collaboration with SB College, Changancherry and KG College, Pampady for 5 days from 27-30 September and 1,2 and 4 th October. The workshop enabled the students to get familiarized with the theoretical and practical aspects of the Research methodology in social sciences through lectures and computer lab sessions. Themes of the programme included: Introduction to the theoretical constructs in Research Methodology, Hands on experience in statistical packages like MS Excel, and SPSS and the basics of reference management software Mendley. The programme was really fruitful for the participants.
