In a commendable collaborative effort, third-year students from the BSc CS and BCA programs undertook the Sneharamam Project 23-24 to enhance the waste disposal area near Bypass Road. In November 2023, the project began with removing waste materials and ground preparation, setting the stage for transforming the area into a vibrant garden. Partnering with the Assumption NSS Unit, students dedicated weekly sessions to plant and maintain the garden, fostering community engagement and promoting cleanliness, healthy practices, and beautification.
The Sneharamam Project has successfully achieved its objectives, resulting in a visually appealing garden that beautifies the surroundings and promotes a cleaner and healthier environment. The collaborative efforts between students and the Assumption NSS Unit exemplify the positive impact of community engagement in local initiatives, showcasing the potential for student-led projects to contribute to sustainable and aesthetically pleasing community spaces.
