Alumnae Lecture 2021

s part of the Alumnae Lecture Series, the Computer Science Association conducted Alumnae Lecture on 11-12-2021 by Dr Jubina Benny on the topic “Career and Research Opportunities in Bioinformatics, at 4.30PM via Google Meet. Ms Aleena P Mathew of 3rd year BSc Computer Science did the anchoring. The session started with the prayer song of Ms Shinu Navomi Johnson of 3rd year BSc Computer Science. Ms Sherin Babu, Head of the Department, delivered the welcome speech.

Dr Jubina Benny completed her BSc Computer Science degree from Assumption in the year 2011. After completing MSc Computer Science and MPhil in Bioinformatics, she secured PhD in Bioinformatics from University of Palermo, Italy in 2020. Currently she is working as Research Scientist, Tropic BioSciences, Greater Norwich Area, UK. She spoke about various career and research opportunities in the field of BioInformatics in India and abroad. It was a truly interactive session and a very inspiring one for all the participants. The session ended at 5.30pm with the word of thanks by Ms Jovan Maria Raju, of 2nd BSc Computer Science. There were 90 participants in the alumni meet.
