The Assumption College Skill Acquisition and Development (ACSAD) program, held from August 7th to 11th, is an annual initiative designed to offer immersive learning experiences and professional development opportunities to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students of Assumption College. The Department of Computer Science took part in it organising a 30-hour certificate course featuring two distinct tracks: "Introduction to AI Tools and Prompt Engineering" and "PC Hardware and Office Automation."

Course 1: Introduction to AI Tools and Prompt Engineering:

In response to the dynamic field of artificial intelligence, this course aimed to equip 56 participating students with foundational knowledge about various AI tools and prompt engineering techniques. Over the course of 30 hours, students were introduced to more than 30 AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Bard, Bing, and Midjourney. The curriculum encompassed both theoretical concepts and hands-on practical sessions, enabling students to understand the potential applications of these tools.

Course 2: PC Hardware and Office Automation:

Recognizing the significance of fundamental skills in computer hardware and office automation, the second track catered to 50 students. Participants engaged in comprehensive learning about PC hardware components, assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Additionally, they gained practical experience with essential office tools like Microsoft Word and Excel. This course aimed to enhance students' technical proficiency in hardware-related tasks and office productivity software.
