nature conservation day

On Nature Conservation Day, i.e. 28th July 2021, the Chemistry Department ( AZIMUTH) association of Assumption College Changanasshery conducted various inter-departmental competitions. Ms Anu James ( Faculty- Chemistry Department) coordinated the whole programme. The student coordinator was Subhadra J ( 2 nd DC Chemistry).

The competitions were

  1. Letter writing competition
  2. Quiz Competition
  3. Digital Poster Making Competiton
  4. LETTER WRITING COMPETITION

  Anjitha S. Kumar and Rose Dominic of 2nd DC Chemistry organized the letter-writing competitions as coordinators. The last submission date was 26th July. Over 20 students from various departments participated with lots of excitement and zeal. A panel of teachers examined the entries and winners were declared. Rosilo Joseph of 3rd Dc Museology and Archeology won the first prize.Christina Treesa Anthony( 2nd DC English) was the runner-up. The 3rd position was shared by K.M. Aadarsha ( 1st Dc MA English) and Dona Michael ( 2nd DC Chemistry).

  1. QUIZ COMPETITION

Subhadra J and Gayathri Jayaprakash of 2nd DC Chemistry organized the quiz competition as coordinators. The quiz was conducted on  28th July 2021 from 10-11 am via Google Forms. Over 75 students participated out of which 36  scored above 75%. E- certificates were provided for participants who scored above 75%.

  1. DIGITAL POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

Sandra Maris Byju and S.N.Aayisha Sideeqha of 2nd DC Chemistry organized the digital poster making competition. The topic for the competition was “ Save Mother Nature”. The final date of submission for the competition was 13th August 2021. Over 15 students from various departments participated with lots of joy and thrill. A panel of teachers examined the entries and winners were declared on 15th August 2021. Shahana TJ (2nd DC History) was declared the winner of the competition. She was followed by Sneha Ann Daniel ( 2nd DC Chemistry) and Haripriya K.S.( 2nd DC Botany) as 1st and 2nd runner-ups respectively. The competition was a perfect blend of patriotism and talent. It gave an amazing experience for both organizers as well as participants
