On the 75th Independence Day occasion, i.e. 15th August 2021, the association of the Chemistry Department ( AZIMUTH) of Assumption College Changanasshery conducted various inter-departmental competitions. Ms Anu James ( Faculty- Chemistry Department) coordinated the whole programme. The student coordinator was Subhadra J ( 2 nd DC Chemistry).

PATRIOTIC SONG- SOLO SINGING COMPETITION
Aavani M.S. and Unnimaya T.K. of 2nd DC Chemistry organized the solo singing competition as coordinators. The final date of submission for the competition was 13th August 2021. Over 20 students from various departments participated with lots of excitement and zeal. A panel of teachers examined the entries and winners were declared on 15th August 2021. Hestia Judit Sunny of the MA English department won the first prize. Meera M. Nair ( 2nd DC Malayalam) and Amrutha Manoj ( 2nd DC Mathematics) received the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
QUIZ COMPETITION
Treesa Joseph and Gayatri S of 2nd DC Chemistry organized the quiz competition as coordinators. The quiz was conducted on 13th August 2021 from 3-4 pm via Google Forms. Over 110 students participated out of which 70 scored above 75%. E- certificates were provided for participants who scored above 75%.
PENCIL DRAWING COMPETITION
Neha Rose Thomas and Subhadra J of 2nd DC Chemistry organized the pencil drawing competition. The topic for the competition was “ 75 years (Now and Then)”. The final date of submission for the competition was 13th August 2021. Over 15 students from various departments participated with lots of joy and thrill. A panel of teachers examined the entries and winners were declared on 15th August 2021. Shahana TJ (2nd DC History) was declared the winner of the competition. She was followed by Sneha Ann Daniel ( 2nd DC Chemistry) and Haripriya K.S.( 2nd DC Botany) as 1st and 2nd runner-ups respectively. The competition was a perfect blend of patriotism and talent. It gave an amazing experience for both organizers as well as participants.
