The NSS unit of Assumption College celebrated world human rights day on Dec 10, 2021 with the following programmes - Human Rights Oppu Maram, Online pledge taking and Human rights video presentation and short film review writing. Human Rights Day is observed to raise awareness of our volunteer’s social, cultural, and physical rights, as well as to ensure that everyone's well-being is protected. About 95 volunteers participated in the event of Oppu Maram by marking their signatures on the Human Rights Tree. About 80 volunteers took onlide pledge from the website https://pledge.mygov.in/nhrc/ and obtained e-certificates. First year NSS volunteer Ms Kalyani Jayakumar created an awareness video on Human rights and it was shared among all the volunteers.
