As part of the World Heart Day, the NSS unit in association with the Department of Social Work organised an awareness class on September 29 at 10am. The Resource person of the session was Dr Jose Joseph MBBS, MD, Principal of Al Azar Medical College Thodupuzha. Rev Sr Shalini CMC, head of the Dept of Social Work offered the welcome speech and Dr Nayana Joseph, NSS programme Officer offered the felicitation. The theme of the 2022 World Heart Day is 'Use heart for every heart”. He shared the information about heart disease warning signs, the steps you can take to fight it, heart friendly food habits, and how to help those around you who may be suffering from heart attacks. 80 NSS volunteers participated in the session and the session ended at 12.30pm.
