On June 5th 2021, the NSS volunteers of Assumption College Changanassery celebrated world environment day. The theme of this year’s environment day was “Reimagine, Recreate, Restore”. The programme was held under the leadership of the programme officers Smt. Sherin Babu and Dr. Shoniya Thomas. The programme started at 11:00am and it was held through Google Meet. The chief guest of the meeting was Mr. Salish J Menachery, Wildlife Assistant at Eravikulam National Park, Idukki. He spoke on the topic “Shola Grassland Ecosystem” and he enlightened the volunteers about the importance of conserving the tropical evergreen forest. 83 volunteers attended the session. The meeting ended at 1:00pm.
