The NSS unit in collaboration with Caritas hospital, Kottayam celebrated the World Blood Donor Day on June 14, 2021. The theme of this year is “Give Blood & Keep the World- beating”. The programme started at 7:00pm and it was conducted through Zoom meet. Dr. Boben Thomas welcomed every one. The chief guest was Dr. Chitra James who is the Assistant Professor of Transfusion Medicine, Medical College Hospital, Kottayam. The importance od blood donation was very much emphasized in the talk and it enlightened the volunteers. She spoke about why to donate blood and who needs blood and who all don’t give blood to the needy. About 65 students attended the meeting. The meeting was ended at 7:45pm.
