The Unit in association with Electoral Literacy Club organized a massive voter enrolment drive on 30th October to 15th November 2024. The main objective of the campaign was to help eligible students at Assumption College register as voters. This initiative aimed to encourage youth participation in the democratic process by simplifying the registration process through digital tools and guidance. NSS volunteers assisted students in downloading and installing the official voter registration app on their devices. The volunteers explained the app's functions and guided students through the interface to ensure a smooth registration process. Volunteers helped students gather and verify the necessary documents and information required for registration. A large number of students who were born before 1st January, 2007 successfully registered to vote, contributing to increased youth representation in the electoral process.
