The NSS unit of Assumption College, observed the Vijay Diwas on Dec 16, 2021. Vijay Diwas is observed on December 16 to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war. This year marks the start of the 50th anniversary of India's triumph over Pakistan, which resulted in the formation of Bangladesh. The volunteers met to commemorate the day, and as a core responsibility, they paid tribute to Indian Army personnel who fought and gave their lives in the fight against Pakistan. The volunteers took the Vijay Diwas pledge and showed their respect to the soldiers and to the nation. 19 first year NSS volunteers participated in the function.
