The NSS unit of Assumption College in association with the Changanassery Social Service Society (CHASS) conducted a training programme on Soap Making. The training was conducted for first year NSS volunteers at 2.30 pm on 7th December 2021. The program officers Dr Nayana Joseph and Dr Shoniya Thomas were present in the meeting. The resource person from the CHASS office Smt. Alphonsus Varghese took the session on making the liquid soap. The hands-on session was very effective and useful which is very relevant in the time of this covid pandemic. The goal is to equip us with the necessary skills and tools to enable us to make our own soap products for personal use and also to possibly serve as an income-generating for us since they are in high demand. 28 NSS volunteers were present in the training session.
