NSS volunteers, along with local residents, formed a human chain across various strategic points of Changanassery Municipality on 1st October 2024. The human chain was a symbol of unity and collective responsibility toward maintaining cleanliness. After forming the human chain, municipal officials, and other community leaders addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. They also emphasized the negative impact of littering and pollution on health and the environment. At the conclusion of the event, all participants took a collective Cleanliness Pledge to keep their homes, streets, and surroundings clean. The pledge emphasized individual and collective responsibility toward waste management, reducing plastic use, and promoting sustainable practices in daily life.
