As part of green village initiative, the NSS unit of Assumption College distributed seed paper pens at the Anganawadi No C-41 at Cherikkal, on 29th April 2024. The aim of this event was to spread the awareness message on the importance of environment protection and waste reduction. Seed paper pens are environment-friendly and biodegradable pens that decompose very easily in the soil without affecting nature. A seed of a fruit bearing tree is placed inside the paper pens and once the pen is disposed after use there will be a sprouting of a new tree. The NSS volunteers distributed 25 seed pens to the students and the officials at the Anganawadi.
