On 8th January 2025, the NSS volunteers of Assumption College, Changanassery conducted an informative class on the POCSO Act for the UP students at Government Model High School, Chanaganassery. The session aimed to enlighten students on crucial aspects of the Act, which is designed to safeguard children from sexual offenses and to ensure their protection and rights. The class, which commenced at 2 pm., was taken by the NSS volunteers Christeena Katherine Jacob, Anjali J, Saniya Thomas, and Drishya Elizabeth Varghese. The NSS volunteers provided a detailed class on the POCSO Act, explaining the provisions of the law and the various ways in which children can be protected from sexual abuse. The session included interactive discussions, with the volunteers addressing students' questions and concerns.
