The month of September is marked as Rashtriya POSHAN Maah (Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition), also known as the National Nutrition Mission, with the objective of reducing undernutrition levels among children below six years of age, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. As a part of this, the NSS unit prepared nutrition kits comprising of fresh fruits, nuts and dried fruits and the kits were distributed to the children of Anganwadi No-43 of Mampuzhakary, on 25th September 2023.
