In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as "National Voters' Day". It has been started from 25 January 2011 to mark Election Commission's foundation day.
The theme for 2022 year is , ‘Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative’, to facilitate active participation of voters during the elections and to make the complete process hassle free and a memorable experience for all categories of voters.
On 25th of January 2022, the NSS unit of Assumption College, Changanaserry, celebrated National Voter’s Day. Ms Kalyani Jayakumar of I DC BA English Literature class created an awareness video. The video was shared among the I Dc and II DC volunteers via whatsApp groups and also posted in the NSS Google Classroom.
