Mayan Tree Spinach' or 'Mexican Tree Spinach' or Chaya mansa (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius of Euphorbiaceae family) is a large fast-growing and productive perennial shrub green leafy shrub from Mexico. This shrub is medicinal and it is considered as the best leafy vegetable. The NSS volunteers of Assumption College distributed 90 Chaya mansa saplings to the students of the adopted school, St Mary's UP School, Thuruthy, on 13th November 2023.
