As a part of law literacy week celebrations, an awareness programme on women rights, was conducted by the NSS unit of Assumption College on 8th November 2023 at 2.30pm, in the Powathil Hall. Adv Sr Jyothis SD of District Court, Kottayam, was the resource person. The session had discussions on various social issues such as child marriage, sexual harassment, harassments at home etc. She commented that volunteers should be aware about their rights and the laws that protect their rights. About 65 first year NSS volunteers participated in this programme.
