To celebrate Kerala Piravi, the NSS unit launched an awareness program, "Malinyamuktha Navakeralam," to educate students on the importance of cleanliness, waste management, and sustainable practices. The NSS volunteers were assigned to conduct awareness sessions across every department at Assumption College, emphasizing the role of each individual in building a cleaner, healthier Kerala. They discussed steps for reducing single-use plastics and promoting eco-friendly. Volunteers explained the impact of pollution on health and the environment, encouraging everyone to adopt responsible waste practices to minimize pollution. The discussions highlighted how small, consistent efforts can lead to a larger positive impact on the community and natural surroundings. The "Malinyamuktha Navakeralam" awareness class, held on 1st November 2024, successfully spread the message of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. Through their dedication, the NSS volunteers inspired students across Assumption College to take proactive steps towards maintaining a pollution-free Kerala, making this Kerala Piravi celebration both impactful and memorable.
