FoodPrint will help to make food choices that do less harm to the environment, animals and people. FoodPrint helps to reduce food waste and enjoy delicious meals at a fraction of the price. It measures the environmental impacts associated with the growing, producing, transporting, and storing of our food— from the natural resources consumed to the pollution produced to the greenhouse gases emitted. The aim of this event is to make the volunteers aware of the environmental impact of the food they are consuming every day. The NSS volunteers checked their FoodPrint in the following website https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-46459714 and uploaded the screenshots of those pages, as assignment in the Google Classroom.
