On 23rd November 2024, the NSS unit of Assumption College Changanassery, in collaboration with Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital and the Deepam Residence Association, organized a Free Eye Disease Diagnosis Camp at the St. Mary's Church Parish Hall, Parelkkadavu Vazhappally. The camp began at 9:45 am and ended at 12:30 pm with a speech by the Ward Member Madhurajan, who welcomed the volunteers and outlined the purpose of the event.
Following the speech, the camp proceeded with free registration for all participants. Experienced optometrists conducted eye tests and offered diagnoses to the attendees. Medicines were provided free of charge to those in need. A total of 50 individuals attended the camp and received eye screenings and medical support.
