On 8th January 2025, the NSS unit of Assumption College in association with the Electoral Literacy Club organized an elocution competition. The competition began at 2 pm in the conference hall of college library with the topic "Is the participation of youth in Indian Democratic system decreasing?". The event took place at 2.00 pm and was open to all students of the college. The competition saw a strong participation of NSS volunteers and other students, where two of which were selected to proceed to compete at the district level; Anila Devasia of second year MSW and Adiya Sherin KK of second year BA English were selected.
