E-waste or electronic waste team means discarded electrical or electronic devices or components. They are harmful to the environment because of the presence of harmful chemicals like brominated flame retardants and toxic heavy metals like mercury, cadmium, lead etc.
To create awareness about e-waste and its management, theNSS unit of Assumption College conducted an online pledge taking event for the volunteers on November 8-11 from the website https://pledge.mygov.in/e-waste-2022/
57 volunteers participated in it.
