On 14th November 2024, in observance of World Diabetes Day, the NSS Unit of Assumption College, in collaboration with the Diabetes Detection and Research Centre (DDRC) Changanassery, organized a Diabetic Detection Camp at the William Hall of Assumption College Changanassery from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event aimed to raise awareness about diabetes and offer free screening for the public. The camp provided a platform for individuals to detect diabetes early through various diagnostic tests, such as fasting blood glucose tests, HBA1C tests, Random blood glucose tests, and others. A total of 124 participants participated in the camp taking advantage of the screening and consultations provided by the camp. Dr. Nisha NC, the Programme Officer of the NSS Unit, addressed the participants with a special message commemorating World Diabetes Day.
