CPR Training Programme

CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) can save someone's life when their heart stops beating due to cardiac arrest. Being trained in CPR provides the knowledge, confidence and skills to stay calm in a medical emergency and help a person in need. On December 14th, the NSS unit alog with Heart Care Foundation(HCF), Kochi organized a training session for NSS volunteers of Assumption College. The College Vice Principal Ms Anne Mary Joseph welcomed the gathering. Ms. Limi Rose Tom, the COO of HCF, delivered an introductory session on the significance of CPR. This was followed by a theoretical session and a practical demonstration on a mannequin led by Mr Kiran N M, the Director of Basic Responders, with assistance from Stephen Pascal, the PRO. Nearly 150 volunteers attended, and certificates were awarded at the end of the session. NSS Programme Officers Ms Sherin Babu and Ms Nisha N C were present.
