On 21st August 2024, the unit organized certificate distribution ceremony honoring senior NSS volunteers (2022-2024 batch) at the William Hall. The event began promptly at 9.45 a.m. with the presence of esteemed guest Dr. Ajish KR, Assistant Professor at CMS College, Kottayam, and NSS Kottayam District Coordinator, alongside the Principal Rev. Dr. Thomas Joseph Parathara. The ceremony commenced with an introduction by an NSS volunteer, followed by a performance of the NSS anthem by the NSS choir. Former Program Officer Miss Sherin Babu delivered the welcome speech, extending a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants. This was followed by the presidential address, delivered by the Principal Rev. Dr. Thomas Joseph Parathara highlighting the accomplishments of the unit.
The inauguration of the ceremony was marked by the lighting of the lamp. NSS Secretary Gouri Nandana shared her experiences from being a volunteer on the stage, which was followed by the distribution of certificates. Dr. Ajish KR presented the certificates to all senior NSS volunteers. Program Officer Dr. Nisha NC delivered a thank you speech, expressing gratitude to Dr. Ajish KR, former Program Officer Sherin Babu, NSS Secretaries Gouri Nandana and Deepthi, and all volunteers.
The event concluded with a lecture by Dr. Ajish KR on "Ignite Your Potential," where he shared his life experiences and provided guidance on being an ideal NSS volunteer. Showing us through this life struggles on how you should believe in yourself and ignite the potential you have within. The program ended at 11:55 a.m. with a closing speech by first-year volunteer Jeevan, who thanked former Program Officer Sherin Babu, Program Officer Nisha NC, and all NSS volunteers for their participation.
