On 30th August 2024th, the unit arranged an interactive session on the topic of “Female health and related diseases” aimed at enhancing awareness among the volunteers and other students. The session was taken by Dr. Anoop Krishnan, Consultant Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic surgeon from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, St Thomas Hospital Chethipuzha at the Powathil Hall of Assumption College.
Dr. Anoop Krishnan discussed the essential factors required for women health such as self-love, adequate consumption of water, a balanced diet, exercise and personal hygiene. Regular and adequate water intake is essential for proper blood circulation and overall health. Insufficient water consumption can accelerate aging and increase the risk of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs). A balanced diet and daily exercise are necessary for developing a healthy body. Routine exercise, nutritious diet, combined with regular physical exercise, plays a significant role in maintaining overall well-being and managing conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOD).
