7-Day Residential Camp : "UNARV"

The UNARV 7-Day Residential Camp, organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Assumption College, Changanacherry, commenced on 16th September 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Powathil Hall. The theme of the camp, "Malinyamukta Navakeralathinayi Yuvatha" (Youth for a Clean and New Kerala), resonated with the NSS's mission to foster community service and social responsibility among youth. Smt. Suvarnakumari, Thrikodithanam Panchayath President, inaugurated the camp, Dr. Rani Maria Thomas & Dr. Jissy Mathew Vice Principals, Dr. Nisha N.C. & Dr. Shelmi Antony, the NSS Program Officers were participated. The 7-day residential camp held at St. Sebastian's L.P. School, Chanjody, the campers engaged in various community service activities such as organic farming, gave awareness about proper waste management to the people in ward 12 of Thrikodithanam Panchayath as a part of Swatchhata Hi Seva, cleaning service to Puthujeevan Care Home, organized general medical camp associated with St. Thomas Hospital, Chethipuzha, attended awareness classes and  interactive sessions taken by eminent persons from various fields viz., Fr. Rojan Purackal (Asst. Professor & Bursar, Assumption College), Dr. Rajalakshmi (Govt. Ayurveda Hospital, Changanassery), Mrs. Viji (Development Officer, Head Post Office, Changanassery), , Mr Mathew Paul (SI, Narcotic Cell, Kottayam) and Fr Eby Sebastian (Asst. Professor, Assumption College), self defence training (Police Department) aimed at fostering teamwork, leadership, and social awareness. On the fourth day, State NSS officer Dr. Anzer RN visited the camp.
