‘Library is the heart of University’s’ work’, rightly said by the former President of India Dr.S. Radhakrishnan. Library is the heart of any educational or academic institution because it is the spring of wisdom from where all can quench their thirst of knowledge. All the academic works start form the vast amount of sources kept in the library and it is based on these sources that the work progresses. So anyone with an ardent desire for knowledge cannot but approach library to get it fulfilled. Library exists to disseminate the right information to the right user at the right time Archbishop Kavukattu Central Library was established in the year 1953. The construction of the new building was stated on 23 October 1992 with the laying of the foundation stone by Archbishop Mar Joseph Powathil the then Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry the Patron of the college. The new Library building was blessed by the Archbishop on 27 September 1994 and it was inaugurated by Mrs. Annie Prasad IAS, Member Secretary of National Commission for Women on 30 October 1994.

Be equipped with deep expertise, innovative services, and outstanding collections Provide the user community with all the facilities and services necessary to enhance and strengthen their teaching and research
In order to motivate the students in using the library and its services, the library has instituted the ‘Best Library User Award’ from the academic year 2011-2012. Students, as well as staff, will be selected at the end of every academic year based on the statistical data on circulation and daily use, reading aptitude of the user, utilization of library resources, and discipline.

International Online Workshop on Academic Writing and Communication, Research Methodology, Reference Management and Academic Publication was conducted by Archbishop Kavukattu Central Library in collaboration with Lore and Ed Associates.
The International workshop on Academic Writing and Communication, Research Methodology, Reference Management and Academic Publication longed for 37 days. There were 22 resource persons and 325 participants from around the globe. Among the participants 160 from outside Kerala. The percipients comprised of 155 faculty, 132 PhD Scholars, 6 MPhil Scholars, 12 Post graduate students and 20 other freelance academics. There 60 hours of lecture.

An international workshop on Open Source Computing, Multimedia, and Open Access Publishing Tools was conducted by Archbishop Kavukattu Central Library in collaboration with Lore and Ed Associates.
There were a total 228 participants among which 61 participants were from outside Kerala, 124 Faculty, 75 Research Scholars, 8 Students and 21 Others.

National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (NIPMR), Thrissur, an autonomous organization under Social Justice Department, Government of Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University Library, Kottayam, Assumption College (Autonomous), Changanacherry, and 20 higher education institutions in Kerala jointly organized 30 days International Online Workshop on Academic Writing and Communication Skills, Research Methodology, Reference Management, and Academic Publishing.
