Bachelor of Fashion Technology, initiated as a UGC Sponsored Innovative Programme in 2002, offers intense professional training in all technical and technological facets of the fashion industry, from concept to product. The programme syllabus is so designed that it equips students with an array of skill sets which makes them capable to take up careers in diverse roles. The distinct areas of study encompass elements and principles of design, fashion illustration, pattern making (manual & computer aided), draping and garment construction including the domains of textiles, accessory design, portfolio making, export merchandising and fashion business and management. The structure also incorporates internship and other modules to facilitate students with hands-on experience in the industry concerned. The three-year programme motivates the students to gain inspiration from tradition and culture and create fashion with a sense of sustainability and social commitment.

Pass in Plus Two / equivalent examinations in any stream or an examination recognized by the university as equivalent or Diploma in engineering recognized by the university.
